Terms of service

About these terms

These terms apply to Ayara memberships and to this website. Ayara is run by Arava Group Ltd (company number 16951177, registered office Flat 177, Denton Malden Crescent, London NW1 8BP), trading as Ayara. By joining Ayara you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our complaints process.

What Ayara is, and isn’t

Ayara gives you information, support and guidance from a team of maternity professionals by chat and video. Ayara works alongside the NHS. It does not replace your NHS midwife, GP, maternity unit or hospital care, and it is not an emergency service.

In an emergency call 999. If you’re pregnant and worried about bleeding, pain or your baby’s movements, contact your maternity unit straight away.

Our team cannot prescribe medicines, order tests or make a diagnosis. We may advise you to contact your GP, midwife or maternity unit, and we expect you to follow that advice.

Memberships and payment

  • Memberships are monthly subscriptions, paid in advance by card through Stripe. The price is shown on our pricing page when you join.
  • Your membership renews each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. To cancel, message us on WhatsApp or email [email protected].
  • We’ll give you at least [30] days’ notice by email before changing the price of your membership.

Your right to cancel in the first 14 days

Under UK consumer law you can cancel within 14 days of joining. If you ask us to start providing the service within those 14 days, we may deduct an amount for the service already provided.

Response times and availability

We aim to reply to messages as quickly as we can. Reply times are targets, not guarantees, which is one reason Ayara must never be used for urgent concerns.

Using Ayara responsibly

Please give us accurate information, keep your login details private, and treat our team with respect. We may suspend or end a membership if these terms are seriously broken, and will refund any unused period where fair to do so.

Our responsibility to you

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
